Sage & Honey Sour

Herbal, Sweet, Balanced

Golden bourbon sour with charred sage and raw honeycomb garnish - artisanal bee-to-bar sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • ¾ oz Fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ oz Honey syrup (1:1 honey to water)
  • 1 Egg white (optional for foam)
  • 3-4 leaves Fresh sage (plus sprig for charring)
  • 1 piece Raw honeycomb

Instructions

  1. 1. Add sage leaves to shaker and muddle gently
  2. 2. Add bourbon, lemon juice, honey syrup, egg white, and ice
  3. 3. Dry shake first (no ice) for 10 seconds if using egg white
  4. 4. Add ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds
  5. 5. Double strain into rocks glass over large ice cube
  6. 6. Light sage sprig on fire, let burn 3 seconds, blow out
  7. 7. Place charred smoking sage on glass rim
  8. 8. Garnish with piece of raw honeycomb
