Smoked Maple Bourbon

Smoky, Sweet, Rich

Bourbon served under lifted glass cloche filled with thick smoke - theatrical autumn cocktail presentation.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • ½ oz Pure maple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Small handful Wood chips (hickory or applewood)

Instructions

  1. 1. Add bourbon, maple syrup, and bitters to mixing glass with ice
  2. 2. Stir for 30 seconds
  3. 3. Light wood chips in smoking gun or on fireproof surface
  4. 4. Place rocks glass upside down over smoke to fill with smoke
  5. 5. Strain bourbon mixture into smoke-filled glass over large ice cube
  6. 6. Lift glass cloche dramatically at table
  7. 7. Garnish with cinnamon stick and star anise
