Smoked Maple Bourbon
Smoky, Sweet, Rich
Bourbon served under lifted glass cloche filled with thick smoke - theatrical autumn cocktail presentation.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Bourbon
- ½ oz Pure maple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Small handful Wood chips (hickory or applewood)
Instructions
- 1. Add bourbon, maple syrup, and bitters to mixing glass with ice
- 2. Stir for 30 seconds
- 3. Light wood chips in smoking gun or on fireproof surface
- 4. Place rocks glass upside down over smoke to fill with smoke
- 5. Strain bourbon mixture into smoke-filled glass over large ice cube
- 6. Lift glass cloche dramatically at table
- 7. Garnish with cinnamon stick and star anise
