Stunning layered purple-to-pink gradient cocktail with floral notes from violet liqueur and butterfly pea flower, creating an elegant botanical experience.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Gin
- ¾ oz Violet liqueur (Crème de Violette)
- ¾ oz Fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz Simple syrup
- 1 tsp Butterfly pea flower tea (steeped and cooled)
- Optional Fresh edible flower for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Steep 1 tsp butterfly pea flowers in ¼ cup hot water for 5 minutes, let cool completely
- 2. Add gin, violet liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, butterfly pea tea, and ice to shaker
- 3. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds
- 4. Place 1-2 large craft ice balls in rocks glass or stemless glass
- 5. Strain cocktail over ice balls, watching the beautiful purple-pink gradient form
- 6. Optional: Garnish with fresh edible flower or herb sprig
