Turmeric Golden Milk

Ingredients
- 2 cups Coconut milk (or almond milk)
- 1½ tsp Fresh turmeric, grated (or 1 tsp dried)
- 1 tsp Fresh ginger, grated
- ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1 Star anise
- Pinch Black pepper (activates turmeric)
- 1 tbsp Raw honey
- 1 tsp Coconut oil (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Heat coconut milk in saucepan over medium heat (don't boil)
- 2. Add turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, star anise, and black pepper
- 3. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally
- 4. Remove from heat and strain into copper mug
- 5. Stir in honey and coconut oil until dissolved
- 6. Garnish with cinnamon stick and star anise
