Watermelon Red Sangria Bowl
Fruity, Refreshing, Light
Spanish red wine sangria served in a hollowed watermelon half with floating summer fruits - refreshingly beautiful.
Ingredients
- 1 bottle (750ml) Fruity red wine (Tempranillo or Garnacha)
- ¼ cup Brandy
- ¼ cup Orange liqueur
- ½ cup Fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 Orange, sliced
- ½ cup Fresh blackberries
- 1 cup Fresh watermelon cubes
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- Handful Fresh mint leaves
Instructions
- 1. Hollow out half a watermelon to create a serving bowl
- 2. Combine wine, brandy, orange liqueur, and sugar in the watermelon bowl
- 3. Add all sliced fruits and watermelon cubes
- 4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (preferably 4-6 hours)
- 5. Add mint leaves just before serving
- 6. Serve in individual glasses with fruit from the bowl
